A couple narrowly escaped death on Thursday evening in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, after a container-laden trailer overturned and fell on their car moments after they had alighted from the vehicle.

According to an eyewitness account, details have emerged of how a couple narrowly escaped death on the notorious Oyo-Ogbomoso Road

Sympathizers recounted the details of the unpleasant incident, stating it occurred on Thursday afternoon, November 28, 2024, shortly after the couple parked and disembarked from their vehicle to purchase some items at Ogbomoso along the road, where a long moving trailer container suddenly fell on their car after they had alighted from their car with registration number Nasarawa JZ 101 ZA, bearing a long container fell on their car with Lagos number) at Ogbomoso High School area.


According to another source, the couple was seen rolling on the floor, singing praises to thank God for sparing their lives, even though their car was compressed and damaged beyond repair.

Ogbomoso community members are appealing to the government to provide alternative routes for trailers to avoid future occurrences and underscore the significance of protecting human life.

  ‎ ‎Mrs Abimbola Adeyemo , the wife of the founder and General Overseer of House to House Prayer Ministries, Ogbomoso, Rev’d Debo Adeyemo has passed away. ‎ ‎Mrs. Adeyemo reportedly died on Sunday, December 7, after a brief illness. She was aged 63. ‎ ‎A trained nurse, the late Mrs. Adeyemo was widely regarded as a loving and compassionate woman who strongly upheld family values.
