  ‎ ‎The Oyo State Police Command has honoured some of its officers, for their outstanding performance and dedication to service. ‎This happened during a ceremony held at the Command Headquarters, Eleyele Ibadan. ‎The Commissioner of Police, CP Femi Haruna, presented awards of excellence to six officers, who distinguished themselves through exemplary dedication, unwavering commitment and outstanding service. ‎The event, according to the Police Command, was aimed at boosting morale and encouraging professionalism within the force.  ‎CP Haruna added that the recognition will stir officers to rededicate themselves to the core values of integrity, discipline, and service delivery in policing the State.

Atiku gave the clarification through one of his spokespersons during the 2023 presidential election, Tunde Olusunle.   Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the ex-depot (gantry) price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, from ₦850 to ₦820 per litre, a ₦30 cut effective Tuesday. In a statement signed by the Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, the refinery said the price adjustment reflects its commitment to national development and to ensuring a steady, uninterrupted supply of petroleum products. The statement also announced that, starting August 15, 2025, the refinery will begin deploying 4,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered trucks for fuel distribution across Nigeria, as part of its drive towards operational efficiency and sustainable energy solutions.

  Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, on Tuesday led a protest to the headquarters of the National Youth Service Corps, in Abuja, demanding the immediate release of the discharge certificate of Ms. Ushie Rita Uguamaye, a corps member whose service year was allegedly extended unjustly. The protest following allegations of political victimization and abuse of office by NYSC officials, triggering outrage among human rights advocates and legal practitioners. Sowore, while speaking to the crowd, insisted that the corps member had fulfilled her national service and deserved her discharge certificate without delay. The new Assistant Coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club, Ibadan, Oyo State, Akin Olowokere, on Monday morning, slumped and died. He was one of the recently appointed coaches 3SC. As of press time, there were no official reports on what led to his death. However, eyewitnesses said he slumped on the pitch during the team’s Monday morning training session and was rushed to the hospital.   Olubadan-in-Council have nominated Oba Rasidi Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland. Oba Ladoja was nominated at the Council meeting held at the New Palace, Oke-Aremo, Ibadan on Monday.
