Makinde pledges to protect investors' with strong legislation

Oyo state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has said that his administration will protect the interest of investors such that change of government will not impair their investments in the state.

The Governor gave this assurance while hosting the Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area, (AfCFTA), Mr Wamkele Mene, who was in Ibadan, the state capital, over the weekend.    

During the visit, the Governor Makinde stated that the state plans to turn the Rasidi Ladoja Circular Road axis into a world-class environment, a city that would be planned to international standards right from the outset.      

The AfCFTA Secretary General, Mr Mene who was accompanied by his executive members as well as some investors, lauded Governor Makinde for growing the economy by over 4 per cent, saying the performance bested that of the average country on the continent.

Mr Mene said the purpose of the visit was first to consolidate the collaboration between the AfCFTA and Oyo State and also to be aware of what investment opportunities are available in the state. 

Also at the meeting, the Special Adviser to the Governor on International Trade and the AfCFTA, Ms Neo Tlhaselo, said the State is ready to optimise the opportunities available in AfCFTA.

House to House founder loses Wife

  ‎ ‎Mrs Abimbola Adeyemo , the wife of the founder and General Overseer of House to House Prayer Ministries, Ogbomoso, Rev’d Debo Adeyemo has passed away. ‎ ‎Mrs. Adeyemo reportedly died on Sunday, December 7, after a brief illness. She was aged 63. ‎ ‎A trained nurse, the late Mrs. Adeyemo was widely regarded as a loving and compassionate woman who strongly upheld family values. She was also known for her role as a marriage counsellor and advocate against marital breakdown. ‎ ‎Following her demise, sympathisers have been visiting the family residence at Areago, Ogbomoso, to commiserate with Rev’d Adeyemo and members of the family over the painful loss.

No Teacher Beaten to Death in Oyo – Govt, NUT
