FG declares Tuesday public holiday to honour Buhari

 


The Federal Government has declared Tuesday, July 15, 2025, as a public holiday in honour of Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away on Sunday.

The announcement was made on Monday by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who confirmed that the decision followed the approval of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The holiday is to allow Nigerians pay their respects as the late former president is laid to rest in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State.
