Senate confirms ambassadorial nominees - Ogbomoso Info

 




‎The Senate has confirmed the nomination of sixty four Nigerians as Career and Non-Career Ambassadors following their screening for ambassadorial appointments by President Bola Tinubu.

‎Presenting the report, Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs Chairman, Mr Sani Bello, representing Niger North, said the nominees were thoroughly evaluated and found qualified in terms of learning, character, and experience in international diplomacy, equipping them to effectively represent Nigeria abroad.

‎The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, congratulated the ambassadorial designates and urged them to justify the confidence placed in them by serving as exemplary representatives of the country.

‎He also commended the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and all lawmakers involved in the screening process for their diligent work.

‎Among the confirmed nominees, thirty four were designated Career Ambassadors, and thirty were appointed as Non-Career Ambassadors.
