Makinde charges Workers on security - Ogbomoso Info

 





The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, has urged state workers to remain vigilant and security-conscious as they go through the year 2026.

‎The Governor assured that the state government would continue to play its part in safeguarding the lives and property of residents, while also expressing appreciation for the sustained support and cooperation he received from the Oyo state workforce.

‎Governor Makinde made the call while speaking at the 2026 State Workers’ Inter-Faith Programme held at the State Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, on Monday.

‎The Governor, who described 2026 as a pivotal year for Nigerians, expressed confidence that the current administration in the state would leave a responsible and capable successor for the people of the State.

‎In her Address, the State Head of Service, Mrs Olubunmi Oni, expressed heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the state workers to Governor Makinde for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of all civil and public servants, noting that his worker-friendly policies have brought about significant positive changes that cannot go unrecognised.

‎The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, represented by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Muhammed Fadeyi, the State Chief Judge, Justice Iyabo Yerima and the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Prof. Musibau Babatunde charged state workers to recommit themselves to diligent service in the year 2026.

‎They also commended the vision and leadership qualities of Governor Seyi Makinde, describing them as key drivers of the sustained progress and development being witnessed across the state.
